St. Raphael is one of the seven Archangels of God. Raphael played a significant matchmaking role from the story in the bible in the Book of Tobit in the Apocrypha. Saint Raphael took human form to protect the long suffering Tobit, Tobit's son Tobias, and Tobias's betrothed, Sarah. Sarah had seven husbands who all were killed so Saint Raphael protected her and Tobias from any and all negativity so they could come together in love and marriage.
